As you have seen, SignSpell is both exciting and unique. It really is the perfect introduction to BSL (British Sign Language) for children; it is the teaching strategy you have been looking for. Our information pack has been designed to allow you to sample some of the SignSpell content and to understand how it can integrate into your classroom teaching. Your Children would love meeting our alien’s Zip, Pella and Statz, and discovering the world of BSL.

The SignSpell storybook included in your pack is just one of many; all of which support reinforced learning and work on different themes and vocabulary. Teaching SignSpell couldn’t be easier; you need no prior knowledge of BSL and every lesson plan contains comprehensive aims and learning outcomes to eradicate planning time. Children love learning alongside their teacher!

Teaching BSL in schools has shown to positively impact on literacy skills as well as creating an inclusive environment.
